    Introduction

L-valine is a branched-chain amino acid , which cannot be synthesised by the animal body itself. It must be ingested from daily ration to meet its nutritional needs, so it is an essential amino acid. Amino acids are the basic structural units of protein synthesis, the predecessors of other amines needed for metabolism, and are indispensable substances for life. At present, there are 20 to 30 known amino acids, some of which can be synthesised in the human body and are called non-essential amino acids, and some cannot be synthesised in the human body and must be supplemented from the outside, called essential amino acids.

    Chemical properties

L-valine is also known as 2-amino-3-methylbutyric acid, with the chemical formula C5H11NO2. A white monoclinic crystal or crystalline powder, which is re-cleaned with an aqueous solution of ethanol, is a colourless plate-shaped or scaly crystal. Odourless and has a special bitter taste. The melting point is about 315℃ Chemicalbook. It is easily soluble in water , the aqueous solution is acidic, and the PH value of 5% aqueous solution is 5.5~7.0. Almost insoluble in ethanol and ether. It is stable to heat, light and air. It is difficult to separate from leucine.

    USE

L-Valine is an essential amino acid for the human body, which is used in biochemical research, the preparation of tissue culture medium, and amino acid drugs. Nutritional tonic can be used as the main component of amino acid infusion and comprehensive ammonia chemical book-based acid preparation. L-valine is one of the three branched-chain amino acids. It is an essential amino acid, which can treat liver failure and central nervous system disfunction.
